The return of vegetation including fruit trees has contributed to an increased presence of insects, and in turn of wild birds in the local area of AWG farms. Although the higher bird population has created some new challenges for local farmers, it has resulted in new online engagements on the natural environment of the area, as well as donations and even proposals to visit the region on future holidays.
If some of the benefits of this impact are guinded to local community members, and from there can benefit farmers who are paying a cost of their presence, their value will be easier to appreciate.
The community and project will continue to support and work to demonstrate the value of such habitat.
